"The grand hereditory matrimonial bed .... with gargoyles carved into its surfaces, "white lillies every where." I chose to illustrate these few lines as lillies have a very beautiful silhouette and juxtaposed against the bed there is a strong male,femaleness which suits this story. I started by drawing the flowers and the bed and cutting them out in paper, on which I had printed different textures. I then scanned the image into the computer and worked on it in photoshop. I was quite pleased with the final image, but I find it a bit too victorian in feel, while I would prefer it to to have a more contemporary nature.
