It was an early, very warm morning in July, and it had rained during the night. The bare granite steamed, moss and crevices were drenched with moisture, and all the colours had deepened. TOVE JANSSON

PRINT 2
PREVIOUSLY ROLLED CUT OUT PLACED OVER ROLLED NEWSPRINT
The complimentary colours work well here. But i don't think the little piece of black silk does anything to improve the image. I like the cropped version below that has a completly new identity and works better as an overall composition.

INK ROLLED ONTO METAL PLATE AND PRINTED
After printing i then rolled directly onto the print. I am printing onto newsprint which has a soft semi perminent quality. I then scanned in my image and homed in and cropped in areas of interest, meaning i get many different images from one original.

FERGUS AND CORDELIA
This series of pictures are for an e book project.
In this story a young woman named Cordelia lives in the center of Florence with her dog Fergus. This childrens book documents some of the interesting walks and sights that they they see together, from their varying perspectives.
In this first picture it is Saterday morning and Cordelia drinks her coffee and reads the newspaper while Fergus dozes in the sun.
I have a few changes to make to this image. I was experimenting with a landscape format but this does not work as well for the e book as portrait. So i will adapt this. I will also give Fergus more texture by cutting him out in white cotton rather than paper. The bone could perhaps be clicked on to turn the page.
